Roman and Church!

Roman absolutely loves and adores church. Really it's the nursery, but he is so cute about church. In the middle of the week he is always asking me if it is time to go to church yet. When I tell him no he gets upset and goes to his room where he chews on his blanket. He's goofy. So last week they asked me to help out in nursery. It was crazy.....lots of kids. Well at one point in the lesson we asked all the boys if they were going to be missionaries, and Roman stood up, put his hands on his hips and said "I'm gonna be a missionary". It was probably the cutest thing I've ever heard come out of his mouth, except for one evening when I was making dinner last week. I dished up his plate, put him in his chair, and then started to dish everyone else up. I looked over at him, and he had his arms folded with his eyes closed and said "Jesus, Food, Amen." I about died. It was the cutest thing ever. He knew that we were supposed to bless the food before dinner so he decided to do that. I love this age when they start learning how to pray, because they pray for everything.

Some other fabulous news......for those of you who don't know....my son Jaxon was born with urinary reflux to his right kidney at a grade 4. Grade 4 is the worst it gets. The reflux is where the urine goes back up into the kidney and doesn't all drain out. You can get really bad infections this way. He was put onto antibiotics for the first 6 months of his life...not including all the ones he had to take with his ear infections. Well then we found out that only 50% of doctors believe that they need to be on the antibiotics and the other 50% think that it is unnecessary. So we took him off. Needless to say he never got one infection, even though the doctors said that would be something we would struggle with since he had Grade 4. We went to the doctor on Friday the 25th of July for his check-up and he had completely grown out of it and it is gone, which means he won't have to have surgery. That was the best news I have recieved in quite a while with him and illness. Kids who have grade 4 don't normally grow out of it that fast, and we are extremely gratelful for the blessings that we have received and that now it is gone.
